Bleu DJ: The Hottest Tracks & Videos of the Week
This week in music featured Rihanna’s return to the top of the charts, Ludacris earning his fourth number one album and Alicia Keys and Beyonce performing “Put It In A Love Song” live at Madison Square Garden. Even with milestones being reached by those artist, this week in music was slow in terms of new leaks and releases. In case you missed it, here’s your chance to get caught up on the hottest tracks and videos of the week.
Rihanna earns her sixth number one single on Billboard’s Hot 100 as “Rude Boy” takes the top spot. With “Rude Boy” hitting number one, the singer now has more number one singles on the chart than any other artist since 2000.
2006’s “S.O.S.” marked Rihanna’s first trip to the penthouse when the track spent two weeks at the summit. The mega-single “Umbrella” featuring Jay-Z, saw the singer return to the top spot and stayed there for seven weeks. In 2008, Rihanna posted two solo number one singles, “Take A Bow” topped the Hot 100 for one week and “Disturbia” fared better staying at number one for two weeks. Rihanna’s most recent chart-topper had been as a featured vocalist on T.I.’s “Live Your Life” in the of 2008.

New music from Erykah Badu’s New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) hit the net.“Strawberry Incense” is an instrumental track featured on Badu’s new album. New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) is available in stores and online March 30th.

Throwback Bleu: “Didn’t Cha Know” – Erykah Badu
The former “Princess of the Roc’, Teairra Mari is set to release her sophomore album later this year and while her single “Sponsor” isn’t making waves, new music from the singer has surfaced. “From My Head to My Heart” is a smooth ballad that may or may not be included on her album, “All That Point“.

Drake’s Thank Me Later drops this summer and a possible track from the album has hit the net. “Fall For Your Type“ is an R&B track that features Drake singing instead of rapping.

T-Pain released the video for “Reverse Cowgirl”, the second single from his upcoming album, RevolveR. Jay-Z may have declared auto-tune is dead but T-Pain is determine to keep it alive.
Earlier in the week, Bleu DJ featured Vivian Green’s “When We Are Apart” in Latest Leaks. Now the singer has released the visual for her album’s title track and first single, Beautiful.
