Bleu Heard: R&B Singer Lloyd Signs With Interscope Records + New Buzz Single

Good news for R&B crooner Lloyd! His deal may fell through over at Young Money, but he has confirmed with 1515 that he’s signed with Jimmy Iovine’s over at Interscope Records, home of Eminem, 50 Cent, Dr.Dre, and Lady GaGa. Iovine is a driving force in the record industry, so Lloyd is in pretty good hands.

We are happy to hear he finally gave up on Irv Gotti and The Inc., they just didn’t know what to do with his talent. Lloyd is so slept on! With a new album in the works, he also plans to feature his Young Money family. He also says he has some other surprises in the works. We know he won’t be working with Ciara anytime soon.

“Baby and Wayne were definitely the first people to reach out to me. I talked to them about a deal. That’s who I thought I’d end up with in my heart,” Lloyd told MTV News. “The problem is that Young Money/Cash Money is exclusive to Universal Motown. As you and I know, that’s where I did my last two albums. I wasn’t excited about going back.”

Lloyd releases new buzz single featuring recently freed rapper, Mystikal. The track is entitled “Set Me Free” which is very appropriate for both artist.
